Direct Access for Colonoscopies
Skagit Valley Hospital Endoscopy now offers a Direct Access plan to quickly register, schedule and receive your colonoscopy. If you are a healthy adult over the age of 50 and have no colon-related symptoms (rectal bleeding, diarrhea, abdominal pain, etc.) or any other major health problems, you may call our Direct Access line and speak to one of our nurses to arrange your exam, usually within the next two to three weeks. If you do not qualify for the Direct Access exam, the nurse will connect you with a direct consult line to the GI Specialty office to expedite a consult with one of the GI physicians for evaluation.
Please call 360-814-5739 Monday through Friday and leave your name, phone number and the best time to return the call. We will call you back to arrange for your colon exam through the Direct Access program. During this call the nurse will interview you about your health history, assist in your registration and give you an appointment for your exam. Please allow 20 to 30 minutes for the call. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
