DNV Healthcare
Skagit Valley Hospital is accredited by DNV Healthcare under the authority of the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Skagit Valley Hospital will also be compliant with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is an independent foundation with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment.
American Hospital Association
Skagit Valley Hospital is a member of the American Hospital Association, a national organization founded in 1898 that represents and serves nearly 5,000 hospitals, plus health care networks, and their patients and communities. The American Hospital Association serves as an educational resource on health care issues and trends for leaders at Skagit Valley Hospital.
Washington State Hospital Association
The Washington State Hospital Association is a membership organization representing community hospitals and several health-related organizations. The association provides issues management and analysis, information, advocacy and other services.
American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
Skagit Valley Hospital has been certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer since 1975, which acknowledges the hospital’s quality, multidisciplinary cancer care program that meets rigorous compliance standards.
College of American Pathologists
Skagit Valley Hospital is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. The goal of the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is to improve patient safety by advancing the quality of pathology and laboratory services through education, standard setting, and ensuring laboratories meet or exceed regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion of the inspection process, the laboratory is awarded CAP accreditation and becomes part of an exclusive group of more than 6,000 laboratories worldwide that have met the highest standards of excellence.
Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Magnetic Resonance Laboratories
Skagit Valley Hospital is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Magnetic Resonance Laboratories. ICAMRL accreditation is a means by which magnetic resonance laboratories can evaluate and demonstrate the level of patient care they provide.
Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Computed Tomography Laboratories
Skagit Valley Hospital has been granted accreditation in the areas of Neuroimaging Computed Tomography (CT), Sinus and Temporal Bone, Whole Body CT and other CTA by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Computed Tomography Laboratories. The ICACTL is comprised of tem sponsoring organizations: the American Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed tomography, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and the Society of Nuclear Medicine.

Skagit Valley Hospital’s Regional Cancer Care Center is honored to be selected as just the second network affiliate of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, a partnership of three world-renowned cancer programs, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Washington Medicine and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. As a network affiliate since 2005, our patients benefit from the resources, research, clinical trials and treatment options of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, while in treatment here at the Skagit Valley Hospital Regional Cancer Care Center.

Swedish Neuroscience Institute
Skagit County area residents facing a potential or actual acute stroke will benefit from a partnership between the Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI) TeleStroke Program and Skagit Valley Hospital that bolsters the hospital’s stroke support services through access to SNI’s nationally recognized stroke team experts.

Healthiest State in the Nation Campaign
Skagit Valley Hospital supports the Washington Health Foundation’s Healthiest State in the Nation Campaign. Washington is currently ranked #10, as reported in the 2008 Healthiest State Report Card. The signature event of the campaign is the annual Governor's Health Bowl, a statewide health competition involving more than 40,000 individuals, 1,200 organizations and 400 K-12 schools.
