Facilities and Expansion

On July 1, 2007, a 220,000 square foot hospital expansion project opened featuring all private patients rooms, a new Emergency/Trauma unit, a new Family Birth Center and expanded space for surgical and critical care services. On July 1, 2010 Skagit Valley Hospital and Skagit Valley Medical Center, Skagit County’s largest physician-owned medical clinic, merged to create a comprehensive health care system to ensure greater stability in the region and to better serve patients in Skagit, Island and North Snohomish counties. Skagit Valley Hospital and Skagit Regional Clinics (formerly Skagit Valley Medical Center) offer patients access to outpatient care in Anacortes, Arlington, Camano Island, Mount Vernon, Oak Harbor, Stanwood and Sedro Woolley. 
 

Skagit Valley Hospital

Camano Community Health Clinic
The not-for-profit Camano Community Health Clinic on Camano Island opened in October 1999 in response to a need for accessible, affordable, quality health care for the 10,000 residents on the island. Three providers, Ann Zielinski, MD, Christina Morris, MD, RPh, and Gary Draper, PA-C, provide primary health care services that include diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness, prevention, disease management, referrals and follow-up for specialty diagnostic treatment and arrangements for inpatient admissions, immunizations, physical examinations and basic laboratory services. Skagit Valley Hospital Regional Cancer Care Center
Skagit Valley Hospital’s Regional Cancer Care Center, which opened in December 2006, offers state-of-the-art cancer care - including radiation oncology, chemotherapy and complementary therapies - in one, well appointed facility on the hospital's Mount Vernon campus. A second site, located within Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington, opened in 2007.

The Mount Vernon facility occupies the entire first floor of a three-story medical building across the street from the hospital emergency room. Patients benefit from comprehensive cancer care in one location, plus easy access and close proximity to the full range of diagnostic testing, surgical services and acute care available at Skagit Valley Hospital. Skagit Valley Kidney Center
The Skagit Valley Kidney Center offers a comfortable, modern setting for kidney dialysis patients. Built in 1998, the 10,000-square-foot facility is located one block north of the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon. Skylights and picture windows provide plenty of natural light, while other amenities and the highly trained staff create a family-like atmosphere. There are 18 hemodialysis stations in operation from 6 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday. Support staff includes an on-site dietician and social worker. The staff also supports peritoneal dialysis and inpatient dialysis at Skagit Valley Hospital. Travelers who are visiting the area are welcome to make appointments. Skagit Regional Clinics – Anacortes

Skagit Regional Clinic – Arlington
SRC – Arlington (formerly Cascade Family Medical Group) has served the health care needs of the local community since 1990. Our family medicine providers work with patients to address their long-term health care needs, acute illnesses and injuries, chronic disease management, obstetrical care and preventative services. Osteopathic care is available. Individuals of all ages are welcome. Family medicine is offered Monday through Saturday. Dermatology is offered every Friday at this location. SRC – Cardiology offers comprehensive heart and vascular care including interventional and non-interventional cardiology as well as electrophysiology. Other services include peripheral vascular disease care and intervention, echocardiography, stress testing, lipid clinic, congestive heart failure management, T-Wave Alternan’s testing and a mobile echocardiogram service. Skagit Regional Clinics – Mount Vernon
SRC – Mount Vernon offers a wide range of primary and specialty medical care and services to care for the entire family. Primary care practices include family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics. Specialty departments include dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, neurology, OB/GYN, occupational medicine, optometry, orthopedics, pediatric endocrinology, podiatry, pulmonology, rheumatology, sleep medicine and urgent care.
