The Bridge from Soul to Cell

A near-death experience can often be a catalyst to make a dramatic change in one’s life. Joyce Hawkes’ brush with death from a severe head injury led her to move from a successful career in research science to an extensive study of spirituality and healing traditions. She calls it her “wake up call.”

Hawkes, a PhD, biophysicist and author of “Cell-Level Healing. The Bridge from Soul to Cell” has combined her background in science and research with her study of the spiritual world including healing traditions to help her clients find and understand the interface between consciousness and the body. She teaches people to reach their inner resources to facilitate healing emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Dr. Hawkes, who lives in Seattle, has appeared on local and national TV including “Good Morning America” with Diane Sawyer; she is a much sought-after presenter at national and international conferences, including "The Biology of Transformation" in London, England; and has been a guest on Coast to Coast radio with Art Bell and George Noory, and on the Oprah Satellite Radio Network with Dr. Mehmet Oz.

As the featured speaker of the Skagit Valley Hospital Women’s Health Luncheon program titled “Cell Level Healing: The Bridge from Soul to Cell” scheduled for October 9 at Eaglemont Grill and Pavilion at 11:45 a.m., Dr. Hawkes will provide scientific research combined with her knowledge of the healing arts to demonstrate how to create the link between our consciousness and our body. Dr. Hawkes said “Evidence from the field of neuroplasticity, a specialized field of neurology, has shown how neurons in the brain change with practices of compassion.” Dr. Hawkes will show visual examples of changes at the cell level taken from some of this research.

“After my near-death experience, I discovered that I had the ability to assist others in their healing, and learned over the last 25 years in private practice how to be a catalyst to help them reach their own resources,” said Dr. Hawkes. In her work as a mind/body consultant she often works as a team member with physicians and therapists to enhance patient recovery and stability in their health. She provides people with the tools, guidelines and skills to allow them to best access their own inner resources. To find out more about her work go to www.celllevelhealing.com.
