Three public hospitals join forces: Seek relationship with larger health care system
The Boards of Commissioners of three public hospitals in Skagit and Snohomish counties approved the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to seek a partnership with a larger health care system in the region. The Boards of Commissioners of Cascade Valley, Island and Skagit Valley hospitals unanimously approved the plan in a joint board meeting on March 19 at the WSU Research and Extension Unit, in Mount Vernon. Skagit Valley Hospital Earns Numerous HealthGrades Honors
Skagit Valley Hospital once again earned high marks in orthopedic, total joint and gynecologic surgery from HealthGrades, the leading provider of information to help consumers make informed decisions about a physician or hospital. The report, American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2013: Healthgrades Report to the Nation, evaluates how approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide performed on risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for nearly 30 of the most common conditions treated and procedures performed from 2009 through 2011. Cascade Skagit Health Alliance Opens to Patients
Cascade Skagit Health Alliance, a 42,000-square foot multi-specialty medical facility in Smokey Point is now open to patients. Skagit Regional Clinics
The merger of Skagit Valley Hospital and Skagit Valley Medical Center is official on July 1, 2010, marking the debut of Skagit Regional Clinics. The integration of the two organizations is designed to improve access to quality, evidence-based health care services and enhance recruitment and retention of providers to the region including Skagit, Island, San Juan and north Snohomish counties.
