Skagit Valley Hospital seeks applicants for vacant board position

MOUNT VERNON – Skagit Valley Hospital is seeking applicants for a position on the Public Hospital District No. 1 Board of Commissioners. The deadline to apply for the position is July 30, 2010.

The vacancy on the seven-member board was created by the resignation in June of Bronwyn Pickering, a member of the board since May 2002.

Applications are available by request in Administration offices at Skagit Valley Hospital, 1415 E. Kincaid, or an application can be downloaded here.

In addition to the application form, applicants are asked to submit a statement of interest in the position and a resume by 5 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2010.

Applicants must be a resident and registered voter of Public Hospital District No. 1, which includes most of Mount Vernon, area west of the city, east to Big Lake and the southern portion of Skagit County including Conway and Lake Cavanaugh. All board positions are at large.

Once the application deadline has passed, the board will review the forms, narrow the list if needed, conduct interviews and make a selection. The goal is to have a new board member in place in September.
