Skagit Regional Clinics expands pediatric services to Sedro-Woolley

Sedro-Woolley, WA –Skagit Regional Clinics recently expanded pediatric services to their Sedro-Woolley office, which is located at 1990 Hospital Drive, Suite 200.  Pediatric appointments are available every Thursday from 8am – 5pm.  Appointments will be offered additional days of the week in this location as demand increases.  Patients interested in scheduling an appointment may call (360) 856-4222.

The addition of pediatrics expands the services available at Skagit Regional Clinics – Sedro-Woolley, which also includes family practice, internal medicine, cardiology and podiatry.

The Sedro-Woolley pediatric office will be staffed by Brad Berg, MD, PhD.  Dr. Berg is a board certified pediatrician who specializes in children’s general health as well as behavior issues, such as ADD/ADHD, special needs and depression.

“Serving the greater Skagit Valley includes serving many children living in areas not easily accessible to our Mount Vernon clinic,” said Berg.  “By expanding to the Pavilion in Sedro-Woolley, we hope to provide a much needed pediatric presence along the Highway 20 corridor for our existing patients and new patients that may otherwise not have access to pediatric care.”

SRC currently offers pediatrics in Mount Vernon six days per week and will open a pediatric office in Smokey Point in April.

Pediatricians specialize in child and adolescent health care for newborn patients through age 21. They care for routine, acute and chronic medical conditions.

Skagit Regional Clinics is a multi-specialty medical group that has served area residents since 1971 under the name Skagit Valley Medical Center.  In 2010, SVMC merged with Skagit Valley Hospital and took the name Skagit Regional Clinics.  Today the medical staff has expanded to include more than 90 physicians and allied healthcare professionals in 20 medical specialties caring for patients at eight locations in Skagit, Island and North Snohomish counties.  For more information about the services available at Skagit Regional Clinics, please visit www.srclinics.org or call (360) 856-4222 for information about SRC’s Sedro-Woolley location.
