For Visitors

Family and friends are an important part of our patients' treatment and recovery. Skagit Valley Hospital provides several services and resources for patients' loved ones. Please don't hesitate to ask any staff member or our volunteers located at our information desk in the main lobby of the hospital if you have any questions during your visit.

Visitors in our Surgical Services area

Skagit Valley Hospital uses the SmarTrack system, an interactive tool that tracks the status and location of surgical patients throughout the process, from registration to discharge. Patients are assigned a confidential code, which is provided to a family member. A large flat screen is located in the Surgical Services waiting area on the second floor of the hospital. The screen displays the patient codes and identifies at which stage each patient is in the process. An additional monitor for staff and physician use is available in the staff corridor and the information can be called up on computers within the department, to aid in patient flow.
