Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a procedure used to view the gastrointestinal tract and is useful in diagnosis and treatment planning. Physicians use a flexible instrument with an internal video camera to view the inside of a patient's esophagus, lungs, intestines or colon. Endoscopy requires sedation and takes about 90 minutes total, including 15 to 30 minutes for the procedure itself. Endoscopy services are provided in two dedicated procedure rooms at Skagit Valley Hospital. For information, call 360-814-2410.
