Fine Art Program
Skagit Valley Hospital is a beautiful example of what a healthcare facility of today can be. Combined with the talents of building and landscape architects and an interior design team, art made its place as a key element of both design and healing in this premier public hospital facility.
Art creates a welcoming environment for guests,
supports patient healing and recovery and fosters positive working conditions for staff. The Skagit Valley Hospital leadership and the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation’s passionate advocacy for a fine art program allows for continuation of procuring and purchasing fine art. Through generous donations of art, monetary gifts to the art fund and donations to the Foundation by local and regional artists and art collectors, and capital monies from the hospital, the fine art collection of more than 300 pieces of art includes outstanding original oils, watercolor, acrylics, fiber art and mixed media pieces highlighting the talents of both accomplished and emerging Skagit County and Western Washington artists.
The Fine Art Committee continues to actively explore ways to expand art opportunities of all kinds in the hospital. Consider helping the Fine Art Fund grow! To make a gift or for more information about the Fine Art Program, please contact Wendy Ragusa, in the Foundation Office, at 360-814-5747.
