2014 Foundation Events

Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation hosts four major fundraising events during the year. We welcome sponsorship, volunteers and participation in any of our events to help us support quality health care at Skagit Valley Hospital.

Have a Heart For Kids

The 11th annual Have a Heart for Kids benefit dinner held Feb. 24, 2014raised more than $13,200 to benefit the Children's Therapy Program at Skagit Valley Hospital. Special thanks to our host Alberto Candivi of Il Granaio Restaurant for the fantastic meal and to our event sponsor TRICO Companies, LLC. 

Monies raised help support the purchase of equipment for Children's Therapy Program patients.

Par Tee Golf Classic

The 11th Annual Par Tee Golf Classic will take place June 27, 2014 at Skagit Golf & Country Club. The tournament, played in scramble format, begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start.

The $150 registration fee includes green fees, coffee & muffins, lunch, snacks, dinner, use of a golf cart and activities at each hole. Other features include a putting contest, hole-in-one prizes, progressive poker hand, a raffle and many give-aways!

This event raises funds to support quality health care services and programs at Skagit Valley Hospital. Over $61,200 was raised last year, and proceeds from this year’s event will support, the Foundation’s Cancer Care Patient Assistance and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.

Annual Circle of Friends Event

The Gail Edward Iverson Circle of Friends and the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation will host the 2014 event at Pioneer Park in LaConner on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Watch for more details. The event benefits the Wound Healing Center at Skagit Valley Hospital.

Festival of Trees

The 2014 Festival of Trees will be held Thanksgiving Weekend, Nov. 28-30, 2014 at the St. Joseph Center in Mount Vernon, WA.

  • Gala Evening and Auction - Friday, Nov. 28, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Kid's Holiday Breakfast - Saturday, Nov. 29 at 9 a.m.
  • Family Festival Days - Saturday, Nov. 29, noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to noon

The Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and staff are excited to announce that the gross proceeds from the 2013 Festival of Trees total $235,000! This dollar amount will more than help us complete our $345,000 goal to fund the new Cardiac Care Special Observation Unit. We would like to thank the many sponsors, donors, guests and volunteers who helped to make the event a huge success. Each and every one of you makes a difference!
