Welcome to The Breast Institute
Your recent breast cancer diagnosis may have you feeling as though you are alone. The fact is, we are here to help every step of the way.
The Breast Institute exists to connect you with the right specialists at the right time, so that you receive rapid, accurate and organized information regarding your treatment options. Your care will be coordinated by our patient navigator who will assure that you are seen by a team of highly trained and educated physicians, all committed to your recovery from diagnosis through treatment.
Accreditation is a stamp of approval in the quality, safety and clinical excellence of a program. The Breast Institute at Skagit Valley Hospital was granted a three-year, full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Receiving care at a NAPBC-accredited center ensures that a patient will have access to:
Comprehensive care, including a full range of state-of-the-art services
A multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options
Information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options
And most importantly
Quality breast care close to home
The Breast Care Center, a service provided by Skagit Valley Hospital and Skagit Radiology, is designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
These accomplishments mean that our patients are afforded the most currently available forms of evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care knowing that we have passed a rigorous evaluation by independent clinical surveyors.
